Over 145 Members of The Bible Society of Uganda in Acholi Sub region gathered together on 04th March 2022 to hold the 3rd Annual General Assembly at St. Monica Gardens in Gulu City under the theme “Set to build and plant-Jeremiah 1:10”.
The meeting that was chaired by Bishop Godfrey Loum attracted different partner Organizations, civil leaders and Christians from different denomination such as Pentecostals, Anglicans, Orthodox, Catholics, Baptist, Methodists, Seventh Day Adventists among. In attendance were 4 Bishops including, Bishop Emeritus Johnson Kagumba the (07th Bishop of the Diocese of Northern Uganda), His Grace Bishop Nectarios Kabuye (Newly Enthroned Bishop of Orthodox Diocese of Gulu and All Northern Uganda), Bishop Godfrey Loum (Diocese of Northern Uganda) and Bishop Benoni Y. Ogwal-Abwang (he was Bishop of Northern Uganda from 1974 to 1989).
During the AGA, Mr. Simon Peter Mukhama C.E.O/General Secretary of Bible Society Updated the members about the progress of the New House Construction and this information triggered more support from members as 17 people instantly became life members, 10 people took coin tins and also 10 people took Magic Cups.
The BSU Acholi Branch Women Task Force also took lead in fundraising for 02 branch motorcycles during the meeting and their efforts were fruitful as members excitedly gave towards the cause. 30 members received audio bibles through the FCBH Project coordinated by Mr. John Kayima.
